Job Interviews - Six Tips to Prepare You
Tip Number One
Prepare a 30 second "marketing message" to use when I ask you to "tell me about yourself." This should be about your job qualifications, NOT about your personal life. At this point, I'm not interested in where you were born, went to school, how many kids you have, etc. It's all about the things that make you a good candidate for my job opening.
Tip Number Two
Find out the name and title of every person you will meet on the interview. Memorize the names. This is a job interview tip that most applicants, oddly enough, tend to ignore. It's perfectly acceptable to ask the HR person who set up your interview to provide these details.
Tip Number Three
Have anecdotes ready. This is another job interview tip that is frequently missed. Many times, I'll ask questions that require you to provide examples of how you handled a difficult challenge or other work situation. These questions often start with a phrase such as, "Tell me about a time when you faced...." Since these questions can be about any subject, they can be difficult to prepare for, but they do follow a pattern. I'm usually interested in a few general categories, such as how you handled conflict, a difficult situation, a problem employee, or one of your success stories. Prepare a good example for each of these areas and one will very likely fit.
Tip Number Four
Do your homework and research the company. The company web site is the best starting place because it will have all the positive things that the company wants you to know. Be sure to do a search on the web site for the name of the Hiring Manager and any others you are scheduled to meet. You just may find out some information about them that will help establish rapport in the interview. Learning about the Hiring Manager is one of the best job interview tips I can give you.
Tip Number Five
Read the common questions you may come across in the interview and practice developing answers that are framed with your accomplishments and qualifications. It's one thing to say you can do something; it's another to give examples of things you have done. Be sure to have some good examples of your work that is applicable to that specific job. Your answers to questions will be much stronger as a result.
Tip Number Six
Have some questions prepared that you will ask the Hiring Manager. This shows you did your homework and have thought about the position. You should have at least four or five questions of your own, in case some of them will have already been covered by the interviewer. You want to be sure to still have some to ask. Here are some general questions that fit almost any interview:

SEO = Search Engine Optimization
Search Engine Optimization is the process of scientifically tweaking a particular website's pages in order to get a good rank from major search engines for a competitive keyword or group of keywords. Despite popular opinion, Meta tags don't really help at all. However, the description tag is important because that is the description that will appear in your listing on Google.
SEM = Search Engine Marketing
Search Engine Marketing is one effective example Internet Marketing that involves search engine optimization. This involves planning and executing right methods to target and get quality traffic to a particular website and convert this traffic into sales or signups. To begin selecting keywords, consider what words and phrases the people you are trying to reach will be searching on. When placing keywords in your keyword tag, it is best to use phases rather than single words. Almost all single words are in very widespread use, thus will not tend to produce high rankings. Keyword phrases can be better tailored to your business.

Affiliate marketing is a concept that has been around in the webs for quite some time now। However there are lots of people who are ignorant to the facts of affiliate marketing and tend to think that affiliate marketing can be used for making quick money. However in reality, this is not the case.
The first thing people have to realize is that affiliate marketing is not a one-day task. It is more like an on going assignment where modifications have to be constantly made on the advertisement to ensure increased sales. You will have to try out different advertising techniques; different means of adding affiliate banners and text links to the site and maybe even join different affiliate programs to find out which affiliate program tends to perform the best. In other words, realizing that lots of trial and error is involved in affiliate marketing will help you succeed in affiliate marketing.
Second mistake most affiliates make is of having a list of about 20 affiliated banners on a single page of their site. In such situations, though most people will see the web page, they won't bother clicking on the banners and thus visit the affiliated sites as your web page looks more like a link farm to them. It is instead better to only add affiliate links or banners that have relevance to the information found on your web page. Place about three affiliate links on your web page, and you have a better chance of your visitors clicking on the links to reach the seller's web page.
Third reason people fail in affiliate marketing is insufficient advertising. There is no way you can expect sales if you just add affiliate material to your site and don?t have any traffic to your site. You have to directly advertise the affiliate links or perhaps add the affiliate links to your website to succeed in affiliate marketing. With SEO, you can improve the page rank of your website, and with this, there is an increased traffic flow to your website. Once there is an increase in traffic to your site, the higher is the number of clickthrus your affiliate links receive. This in turn leads to an increased possibility of sales, and thus you earning money through affiliate marketing.

There have been a lot of heated discussions regarding link building. Is it ethical to create a link building campaign? Does Google or any other search engine penalize for "link farms" (a bunch of non-related links created for the SOLE purpose of increasing search engine ratings)? Is the "link building era" over?
Link Farms
Many webmasters claim that Google penalizes websites for link farms. If this is so, why are a link farm sites that have a page rank of 5 on their link farm page? Let me give you an example, go to Google.com, type in any popular keyword(s) and append the word "links" to it. For example, "ABCD Links." Notice you'll get tones of websites that are linking to unrelated sites, but still have a great PR. I do not encourage link farming in any way or form, but building valuable partnerships is something I do encourage. Remember, many webmasters claim to know the truth regarding search engine algorithms, but no one knows the EXACT TRUTH except the programmers at the search engines. Webmasters may have been penalized in the past for link farms and doorway pages (pages created around certain keywords for the sole purpose of redirecting surfers to the main page), but who's to say why some HAVEN'T been penalized.
Who Should I Create Link Partnerships With ?
1. Create link partnerships with sites related to your site.
2. Create link partnerships with sites that have an audience that may be interested in your products
3. Exchange homepage links with websites that fit in your genre. You'll receive a link on a page with a good ranking and you'll get quality, targeted hits.
How Do You Find Link Partners?
1. Signup with an automated links management provider that organizes your links and helps find link partners. Automated tools are the best because they help you save time. Uploading and downloading your pages for every link exchange can be a huge pain and very time consuming. Automated tools are NOT link farms because they give you complete control of who you exchange links with. If a member exchanges links with every website, he/she might be abusing the tool. If a member uses the tool responsibly, it can be very effective.
2. This is a great little exercise I would recommend to anyone.
a. Write down 20 search terms pertaining to your website
c. Contact as many websites as possible listed under that search term and ask them to exchange inner page or homepage links with you. If they're NOT interested, ask whether they would be interested in selling advertising space. If your website is fairly new, you may want to ask sites for advertising prices. Free hits are the best hits but sometimes you might have to go the extra lap and pay for service. I wouldn't recommend spending over $100 / month for advertising UNLESS it's a high traffic site with your site audience. The best deals are the ones that offer $10-25 / month. There are sites out there that will sell SUPER cheap advertising, and others that charge an arm and a leg.
EVERYONE gets rejected sometime or another so keep your head up and keep moving along! The internet is comprised of Billions of websites. If you're rejected 500 times, you still have MANY business opportunities left! This is a continuous job so set aside time every week to do this. If you don't have time for this, then you don't have time to make money.
3. Hire a Link Building firm (this can be quite expensive but if you have money, its minimal work for you)

The advantages of Internet marketing are many. Since the World Wide Web is so widely available, businesses can access millions of potential customers with just a few clicks of their mouse. Yet, as with any form of advertising, there are some disadvantages of Internet marketing as well. Each business owner and salesman will need to consider both in order to decide if online promotion is right for them. By weighing their options and determining the type of consumers they need to reach, they can see more of the advantages than the disadvantages
The Web is not just nationwide - it’s worldwide. This means that your product or service can be viewed by people just about anywhere in the world.Compared to other forms of advertising, Internet marketing can reach a far larger number of people. Television and radio ads just can’t compare to a pop-up or banner ad online. Mailings get thrown away and aren’t cost effective. it can also help you reach your target audience of consumers. Through email marketing, you can reach thousands of people at once. You simply sign up with a service that sells you the email addresses of thousands of interested, potential customers. You or the service can send them an email about your product or service with a link to your website. Your website will also help you to reach your target audience.
There are some disadvantages of Internet marketing. There is a possibility that you could be participating in illegal or unethical online promotions. That is why it is extremely important that you familiarize yourself with the appropriate ways to obtain emails and to avoid spamming. Another of the disadvantages is that you may not want to reach customers through the Internet. You or your type of business may be the kind that requires face-to-face contact for success. You may be selling a product that is best demonstrated in person. You may also have a particular consumer base that isn’t as Internet savvy such as the elderly. Thus, your efforts to market on the Web would really be a waste of time and money. The last of the disadvantages of Internet marketing is that unless you can market professionally, few consumers will take you seriously. Just like other forms of advertising, it is equally important that you make the right impression with consumers. Your website, emails and ads should all be presentable and professional.

Linking is the best and fast way to improve your page rank.Try to get a link back from higher page rank websites.
If you are planning to purchase a link back then remember this point, some websites have PR4, PR5 or even PR7 for their home page, but no PR for any of their other pages, So remember to pay for only that link which will be displayed on a PR+ page.
Submit to directories and sit relax. Start one by one and submit your link in all web directories. If you can, try to give a link back (reciprocal link on your page) to free directories, some directories does not need it, but if you provide them, their owners will look for your approval first
Update your website every day by adding more unique content. If you site has some information for a visitor then it is 100% chance for him to come back to your site again.
Provide inside linking to your website. For example you can provide a link of your previous and next articles on an article page. Or you can provide a list of related articles so visitor can remains a long time on your website.

Internet Retailer reports that retailers are spending more on pay-per-click marketing and natural search engine optimization. 67.4% of marketers claim that search engine marketing performs better than other forms of marketing, including e-marketing, affiliate marketing, and direct mail. Among the respondents to the Internet Retailer study, natural search engine optimization seems to yield higher conversion rates than paid search.
In an effort to find more customers for their business, many business owners start advertising campaigns in Internet.
The measurement seems to be shifting toward natural search engine optimization. A mix of both tactics seems to be the right approach for many companies. Optimizing for natural results is the prudent approach for core keywords, while paid search can supplement these results for keywords and phrases that are related to the core keywords. Regardless of the approach, customers clearly do not ignore paid search ads (”sponsored listings”), and as we learned in last year, ranking in the top three natural results is critical as these links are most often clicked.
At last no matter how many visitors you get, but how many of them will become customers and how many will just close the web page.So don't increase only traffic. Increase targetted traffic with A business
Happy Business

Some search engine optimization companies and software developers use unethical tricks and techniques to artificially boost the search engine rankings of a web site। This dilutes the quality of search results and the accuracy of search results becomes questionable।Search engines consider the following search engine optimization techniques as SPAM। For that reason, DO NOT use or promote these methods :
automatically generated doorway pages
cloaking and false redirects
keyword stuffing
hidden text or hidden links
pages loaded with irrelevant words
duplicated content on multiple pages
misspelling of well-known web sites
unrelated and centralized link farms
other methods that try to trick search engines

Although the robots.txt file is a very important file if you want to have a good ranking on search engines, many web sites don't offer this file.
If your web site doesn't have a robots.txt file Till, read on to learn how to create one. If you already have a robots.txt file, read our tips to make sure that it doesn't contain errors.
What is robots.txt?
When a search engine crawler comes to your site, it will look for a special file on your site. That file is called robots.txt and it tells the search engine spider, which web pages of your site should be indexed and which web pages should be ignored.
The robots.txt file is a simple text file (no HTML), that must be placed in your root directory, for example:
http://www.abc.com/robot.txt
How do I create a robots.txt file?
As mentioned above, the robots.txt file is a simple text file. Open a simple text editor to create it. The content of a robots.txt file consists of so-called "records".
A record contains the information for a special search engine. Each record consists of two fields: the user agent line and one or more Disallow lines. Here's an example:
Things you should avoid
>> Don't use comments in the robots.txt file
>> Don't use white space at the beginning of a line. For example, don't write
>> Don't change the order of the commands. If your robots.txt file should work, don't mix it up.
>> Don't use more than one directory in a Disallow line. Do not use the following "Disallow: /support /cgi-bin/ /images"
>> Be sure to use the right case. The file names on your server are case sensitve

Successful internet marketer offers tips to increase your online profits.
>> Address your targeted audience on your business site. Example: "Welcome, Internet Marketers". If you have more than one, address them all.
>> Make sure your content and graphics are relevant to your web site's theme. You wouldn't want to use a bird graphic on a business web site.
>> Update your Website content with the theme regularly.
>> Alert visitors by email when you add new content to your web site. this helps to remind people to revisit your web site more and more.
>> Offer a way for visitors to contact you on each web page. List your Full contact adress.
>> Give people the option of viewing your web site offline. Offer it by autoresponder or a printer friendly version.
>> Make sure at your content is original. The other option is to offer something else original other than content, like software product or an online utility.
>> Offer your visitors incentives for revisiting your web site. You could give them new content.
>> Publish a FAQs for your business, product and web site. They could have questions about multiple parts of your business.
>> Make sure all links on the navigational bar are clickable. If people can't get to where they want to go, they will leave.

SEO-Search Engine Optimization is the new mantra of building money making successful online business.
Be it for serious business, or “just for fun” amateur, unless you follow SEO rules and tips, your site is likely to go unnoticed among the ever evolving competitive world of online startups.
The major part of online traffic comes through search engines like Google, Yahoo and MSN and referrals from other sites. Search Engine Optimization helps you to rank high on search engines, thereby increasing visibility to your potential clients/readers. It is unfortunate that many websites and start ups which have high quality exclusive content, go unnoticed among the crowd because they haven’t optimized their sites to search engines.
Search Engine Optimization is not rocket science, anybody who has a flair to run a blog can make a good SEO. You only need to know some basic HTML and good knowledge of how the search engines work. I’m assuming that anyone who can set up a blog can even be a good SEO and implement the tips discussed here on his blog to his benefit.
Cheers!
Keep It UP!

It is now common knowledge, at least among online marketers and search engine optimization (SEO) specialists, that the success of a SEO campaign is dependent to a great extent on the success of link building efforts. Greater the number of links from high-quality, relevant websites, greater the chances of a website getting ranked higher in the search engine results pages (SERPs) for relevant keywords.
When undertaking a link building project, there are three criteria to be borne in mind:
* Quantity of links: More the number of links, the better it is
* Quality of links: Better the quality of pages and websites from which the links are obtained, greater the weightage of those links to the overall link popularity of a site
* Relevance of links: Greater the relevance of the sites from which the inbound links are obtained, better the results will be with the overall off-site SEO efforts.
Focus the link building campaign on the above three aspects to achieve optimum results.
How to embark on a SEO link building campaign
The key to building high organic search engine rankings is to ensure that the search engines view the site to be 'naturally' relevant to its target users. Therefore, all efforts in the various aspects of SEO, including boosting link popularity, should take into consideration the need to make them seem natural.
This is a tedious process which requires patience and perseverance; however, the benefits of getting good quality inbound links will certainly be worth the effort.
Building one-way links for a website is definitely with this one-to-one approach is much more challenging as it involves convincing the other party of the merits of linking to the site. Some common ways that can be used to build one ways links are directory submissions (both paid and free) as well as buying links on relevant websites. The latter approach (buying text links) is still under a cloud and there is a debate on their value to improving search engine rankings. Of course, as long as the links provided are related and relevant.
Alternatively, many SEO professionals opt for building reciprocal links, where in they swap links with another website. These links are deemed to be less valuable than a one-way link from a good quality website, but as long as the 'reciprocal' links are relevant (thematically), these may continue to offer some value in the SEO process.

Blogs have become one of the most effective Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategies. The number of blog sites spawning on a day-to-day basis is a clear indication of their relevance in the present Internet communication.
A blog can play an important role in optimizing the website. Earlier, blogs were considered as a means of expressing one’s opinion or exchange ideas, most often done in a causal way. But the recent changes that happened in the online communication have redefined the blogs as an effective tool of communication among a varied group of customers, businesses, and every individual under the earth.
To create SEO-friendly blogs, one has to take care of the following aspects.
· Relevant content
· Appropriate title
· Proper links
Content
Blogs have got two functions to perform – firstly, it should Update regularly daily or wekly basis, and secondly, it should attract prospective visitors to the website. Both these functions can be achieved only if it is provided with appropriate contents. The search engine identifies the website mainly through the keywords used in it. This rule is applicable to blogs too. The blog, therefore, should contain appropriate number of keywords per total word count (keyword density).
The relevance of the content is another important factor, not only for the SEO purposes, but also for the business purpose. The information that you convey through the blogs should be effective and useful to the customers. It should not merely aim at SEO and thus focus only on the keywords.
Title
The title is the identification code of the blog. Therefore, the title of the blog has to be named on the primary keyword/phrase. It would enable the search engines to trap them easily.
Links
To reach to a blog, there should be proper links to it. The website should have outbound links to the blog; in return, the blog sites should contain links that direct them to the relevant website. This link exchange is another important method of improving the traffic of the website.
SEO-friendly blogs improve the traffic to the website, and it also attracts the viewers to it. The role of blogs in website marketing will continue to remain relevant for a very long time.

Webmasters across the Internet spend countless hours preparing their websites to suit Google's latest algorithm changes, in the hope of achieving a decent Google page rank, or a handful of backlinks on Googles huge database, but at the end of the day.. does it really matter?
For those of us involved in any form of search engine optimization, we are led to believe that if our websites are not recognised and accepted by our new master, then we are doomed to failure. There are currently hundreds of tutorials available on the internet which offer tips, tricks and secret formulae in making our pages "Google-Friendly", and in a format that is acceptable to this Search Engine Giant. Yet who knows what is acceptable to Google and what is not?
During the last couple of years however, it seems ownership of the Internet has been surrendered to a new overlord! GOOGLE!
Google's algorithm changes are becoming more and more unpredictable and this deceit presents the potential for high damage to your profitability at short notice. In their Company Profile, Google claims that their mission is to "organize the world's information, and make it universally accessible and useful". It is questionable however, as to whether their methods offer the world free and relevant results for any search term, or whether they in fact, only present information offered by those
websites that adhere to Google's ever changing and secretive rulebook.
The Internet is there for all of us to enjoy. A free information system, with a level playing field when it comes to getting our websites noticed. Google's agenda now seems to be to present information from the highest bidders rather than delivering quality information to it's search pages. And what of "Google Ranking"? So much store is set by the importance of being ranked by Google, yet is it really that important?
The word Google is a play on the word "Googol", the mathematical term for a 1 followed by 100 zeros, and whilst Google's founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin, coined it to reflect their company's mission to organise an immense amount of information, I believe that the company's new agenda is to organise that amount of dollars into their bank account.
I do however swear that they will get no help from me in so doing! I am now cured of my Google adoration fixation, and set about my SEO duties treating all search engines the same. One can do little more than present an informative, attractive and useful website, with Meta Tags to help all search engines. The Internet belongs to us all, and hopefully it will stay that way for the forseeable future.
